Whisky
Check out Whisky if you get a chance. He is a Xtra large guy that really needs a good indoor only home. He was front and back de-clawed. He appears to get along with kids but does not like dogs at all. He probably weighs around 16 lbs but would look and feel a lot better if he was around 12-13 lbs. The shelter has him listed at around 3 years old but I feel like he is closer to 5-7 years old.
Saturday he was at an adoption event at the Irving Mall and everyone kept looking at him and commenting on his size. We had him out of his cage and he lay in our laps and had his tummy rubbed and seemed to really enjoy that. At least until a dog barked really loud and he decided he had enough of the place. He took a short shopping trip into one of the stores before an officer was able to talk him into coming back. For such a big guy he can more pretty fast. HA
During the month of June his adoption fee is only $25 due to "Adopt a Shelter Cat" month. He came in as a stray so that means his owners were not careful and let him out of his house and then they never bothered to come looking for him to get him back.
I named his Whisky in memory of my husband's Whisky that lived to be 16 years old.
Whisky was adopted on June 27th 2009
